Welcome to OldDoom.com. This site contains all kinds of information on two of the most popular computer games to date, the old Doom games. Whether you're looking to learn to play Doom, download free levels, or reprogram Doom, this site has everything you need. Use the links to the left.
March 26, 2010 Urgent Appeal to Keep the Site Going       As with many people of late, I have been in financial dire straits. With things like rent payments and food to worry about without the "luxury" of any kind of steady income, keeping this web site afloat has become a relatively low priority. I simply can't spare the $13 it will take to keep it online for one more month.       Clearly I've been done updating this site for a long time. The majority of it was created years and years ago, when I was 13, and to me it essentially serves as a relic of a bygone era of my life. But if you find this web site in any way informative, entertaining, or useful, and would like to avoid seeing its domain bought up and turned into a fake airfare search engine or something, please donate what you can using the button below. If I cannot collect $13 by the first couple days of April the site will shut down. September 30, 2010. Please donate to keep it up for longer. iamthejake2k       Don't have Doom? Try the shareware version. Download it here. Unfortunately, there is no shareware version of Doom 2. If you have a Linux or Unix operating system, click here to get a Linux or Unix Doom source port. I have no idea how to use them, I only have Windows.
To find out what version of Doom you have, open it up and it will say on the top of the loading screen. Or use the Iwad Verifier by LichSoft Software (recommended).       Want to buy the full version of Doom or Doom 2? You can find the lowest prices at Half.com. A word of advice: Final Doom is pretty much just a waste of money. All it is is Doom 2 with two addon 32-level wads. You can buy Doom 2 and download free levels, and save money.       These manuals are in pdf format, meaning you'll need a program to read pdfs. Some free ones include Adobe Reader (20.3MB) or the much smaller Foxit Reader (1.3MB). Thanks to ReplacementDocs.com.
