LINKS

      These are all links to other Doom pages that I liked. If you have a Doom-related site that you would like me to link to, send me the URL here, and I will look at it. If I like it, I'll add it to this page.

Id Software
      Id Software's main site. Not much information, but they are the makers of Doom.

Id Games Archive
      This site has every download you could ever dream of for all Id games. From utilities to wads, this site has it all.

DoomWorld
      DoomWorld is a regularly updated site with a lot of information on old Doom, and countless wads. Definitely a great Doom site.

The Page of Doom
      A very informative site about the old Doom games.

Doom2.net
      Doom2.net is a huge site with a lot of info on not just Doom 2 as the name suggests, but Doom also. It has a lot of links and resources. Definitely one of the best Doom sites around.

Planet//ROME.RO
      John Romero's site. John Romero was the main guy in Doom development. Has lots of cool stuff, like an Ultimate Doom radio commercial and pictures of the Id guys working on Doom. Not a very big site (yet), but it gets updated all the time.

ClassicDOOM.com
      Walkthroughs and reference material for Doom games on multiple platforms.
      Ledmeister, the creator of ClassicDoom.com, looked over OldDoom.com and found about a hundred thousand errors. Thanks, Ledmeister! Click here to go to Ledmeister's main page.

The Doom & Doom 2 Editing Guide
      An ancient guide to editing Doom. I learned a lot from it.

Video Game Museum
      A huge site updated all the time about all video games and systems known to man.

Doom Wad Station
      Doom Wad Station is just what it sounds like. All wad types are organized and there are reviews and stuff.

Doom3.com
      Doom 3's official site. It has screenshots and the trailer, but other than that it's not very detailed. You can order Doom 3 from the site.

ZDoom
      ZDoom's home page. ZDoom is an enhanced version of Doom. It has a lot more features than the original Doom, including:

* It runs under Windows
* You can jump
* It has a console
* You can look up and down, and you have a crosshare
* It has high resolutions
* It supports Midis and Mods
* It has better mouse support
* It has see-through graphics (transparency)
* It supports TCP/IP networking, and is much easier to set up a network game than the original Doom

      ZDoom is what you want if you want to play Doom on a newer operating system like Windows XP. ZDoom is available for download at its homepage.

Doom Legacy
      Antoher enhanced Doom. I would definitely recommend this if you want to play network games.

The Legend of Oman
      A website by [mag]dowsa. This site has updates on his current wad, and links to other wads. It is updated often.

Steel Door Doom Page
      A large page covering various aspects of Doom and Doom 2.

Doom Central
      Another humble Doom fan site. Check out the sprites pages.

Doom2 HQ
      A small, growing Doom fan site.

Linux and Unix source ports
      If you have a Linux or Unix operating system, go here. I have no idea how to use these ports, I only have Windows.
